MCCI’s Food for Thought Program aims to take up larger issues of topical nature which could involve the economy, civil society, business and the community as a whole, and provide a platform for open discussion and interaction.

Sustainable Chennai Forum

On November 9, 2011, World Habitat Day, the SCF was launched to support and promote a business case for sustainable development and create a supportive policy and action-oriented environment for the all-round sustainable development of the Chennai Metropolitan Region.

Centre for Vocational Training and Skill Development

The Chamber initiated a vocational skill development centre during its 175th year celebrations to bridge the skill gap between Industry and Academia and continues its skill development in many ways. The Chamber has collaborated with like-minded organizations like PAN IIT Alumni Reach for India Foundation (PARFI) to train unskilled youth and upskill semi-skilled workers to bridge skill gaps, promote employability, and increase the availability of skilled workers to Industries in Tamil Nadu.

Startup Entrepreneurs Ecosystem

The Indian Start-Up industry has now become the gateway to develop ideas and companies that are unique and business-forward. The Chamber to encourage the Startups have come up with an important plan for setting up a Start up Entrepreneurial Eco System (SEE). The Madras Chamber will provide a platform for facilitating Startups and promoting entrepreneurship in collaboration with like-minded business groups.

Women Directors Forum

The MCCI Women Directors Forum is an empowering initiative by the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), aimed at fostering leadership, promoting diversity, and championing the role of women in corporate governance. The forum is committed to creating a robust support system for women directors, enabling them to make informed decisions and contribute meaningfully to their organizations and industries.

MCCI Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation Centre

The Madras Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) is among the first organizations to provide arbitration services for resolving commercial disputes. Given the growing importance of alternate dispute resolution mechanisms, MCCI has established the MCCI Arbitration, Mediation and Conciliation Centre (MAMC) to benefit its members.

Women Business Council

The Women Business Council (WBC) is a dedicated initiative under the Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), committed to empowering women entrepreneurs and business professionals. The council focuses on promoting gender diversity, creating opportunities for women-led businesses, and enhancing the economic contribution of women in various sectors.
