The Chamber, jointly with the Art of Living(AOL), is organizing a Conference on “Towards Self-sufficiency of Water in Tamil Nadu – Reviving and Rejuvenating water bodies' on 26th January 2018 at the Madras University Auditorium.
Water is one of the major concerns as we go forward. The main source of Rivers & Ponds is drying, in spite of the abundant rains. We understand that the Tamil Nadu Government and AOL have successfully rejuvenated the Naganadhi River in Vellore District benefiting 40 villages. The Tamil Nadu Government is considering this as one of the Priorities for the State & its Citizens. They are currently working on 4 more rivers including other sections of Naganadhi, Saraswathi, Kowshika and Noyyal. In Chennai, the Chennai Corporation & AOL is working to revive over a 100 Ponds and Lakes.
The objective of this conference is to create a platform for Local Industry & Decision Makers to play a key role for ensuring Sustainable and Safe Water in the State .
We are delighted to bring together Government, Experts, Industry and Key decision makers for an enlightening evening on 26th January to provide insights on how to solve this crisis and provide guidance to participate.
