The mid-term review of Foreign Trade Policy  is stated to be  in line with Government’s focus towards ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and ‘Make in India’ initiative.

With the vision to boost India’s cross border trade, the Government of India  announced a mid-term review of the Foreign Trade Policy (‘FTP’) for the period 2015-2020 which is effective from 05th December, 2017.  The objective of this mid-term review is  to restore the incentive schemes being offered under the FTP, in order to resolve the issue of working capital blockage for exporters. The focus is  also to increase the benefits for labour intensive MSME Sectors and Services Sector.

To understand the salient features of the FTP, the Chamber has invited Mr.D.K.Sekar, IA&AS, Zonal Additional Director General of Foreign Trade, Chennai for an interaction meeting with the Members of the Chamber.  He has kindly agreed to address the members and the meeting will be held as per the details given below.
